Mark Vroegop has been the Lead Pastor of College Park Church in Indianapolis since 2008. Along with being married to Sarah and the father of four children, he is a contributor to 15 Things Seminary Couldn’t Teach Me, and the author of Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy: Discovering the Grace of Lament. Mark is also a conference speaker, a trustee at Cedarville University, and a council member of The Gospel Coalition.

Lord, today we lament the millions of children who were never born. We lament the shedding of innocent blood in our land. We mourn over the trafficking of convenience, expediency, and political posturing that lies underneath this grievous issue.
Disciples are called to love fellow disciples like Jesus loved them. Simple enough, right?
Painful circumstances and the pressure of ministry can result in denial (“Everything’s fine”) or despair (“Everything’s awful”). Add loneliness into the equation, and you can see the dangerous mix.
